In September, Cultivator (Conexus Credit Union’s technology incubator) held its third annual Sask Startup Summit. The two-day event connected founders, mentors and inventors through individual sessions, keynote speakers and panel discussions—featuring people from across the continent.
The hybrid event, hosted online and at Cultivator’s headquarters in Regina, saw:
- 300+ in-person and virtual attendees,
- 20 mentors,
- 30+ investors,
- 50+ founders,
- 43 guest speakers,
- 5 workshops,
- 15 panel + keynotes,
- 64 founder one-on-one sessions,
- 19 pitches, and
- 20 partners attend the virtual and in-person event.
Highlights included a founders’ retreat, a pitch event for Cultivator’s START Cohort 5, a panel of future founders, and more. Speakers shared stories, advice and more on a variety of subjects, including innovation through collaboration, creating a culture of inclusivity, accessing R&D funding, and Saskatchewan’s unique place in the agtech space.
