Saskatoon-based Royal Helium Ltd. announced on Nov. 7 that it has begun loading purified helium ready for delivery at its Steveville helium purification facility.
“As we prepare our flagship delivery, the company is proud to be entering into this new and exciting phase of our business, making Royal Helium one of the leading, active suppliers of purified helium directly to end-users” said Royal Helium president and CEO Andrew Davidson with the announcement.
The purified helium from Steveville will head to an unnamed “major North American aerospace customer” with a contract to purchase Steveville facility volumes for several years. The contract was first announced in August 2022. Royal also signed a second sales agreement for helium from Steveville in May 2023 with a private North American corporation.
The Steveville helium processing facility is located near Brooks, Alta. Royal Helium controls over 1,000,000 acres of prospective helium permits and leases across southern Saskatchewan and southeastern Alberta.
