Saskatchewan Blue Cross appoints new president and CEO

Saskatchewan Blue Cross announced June 13 that Kelly Wilson has been appointed the organization’s president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.

“The executive recruitment process has been extensive, and we’re pleased to have found an ideal candidate in Kelly, who brings extensive leadership experience, vast knowledge of Saskatchewan Blue Cross, and strong financial and business acumen to this role,” said Zane Hansen, Saskatchewan Blue Cross board chair. “The organization is in exceptional hands and well-positioned for continued success.”

Born and raised in Saskatoon, Wilson has been with Saskatchewan Blue Cross since 2015, most recently as interim president and CEO and senior vice president, chief financial officer.

She earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and holds a Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation. Wilson has worked in Australia and Ireland in the public and private sectors before returning to Saskatchewan. She is also on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan, and previously served as a board member with Big Sisters of Saskatoon.
